Set along the route of the historic Fort Pitt to Carlton Trail, Edam is a 15 minute drive from the banks of the North Saskatchewan River overlooking Pine Island, which was home to several fur trading posts including Manchester House, operated by the Hudson Bay Company commencing in 1784.
